This space is designed to capture and document all student exploration, investigation and 'making' for the ECO warriors unit.
Teachers will record learning and progress as a means of reflecting and evaluating the program in an ongoing manner.
The Emergency Services team reinstalled the Police Station today into its correct location in Eden. The team continue to build the Hospital and the Fire station. Team representatives met to discuss questions we will cover as part of the 'Question Panel' at Thursday's exhibition night. Me. Harris also took a group of students to view the building works of 'Project Barcelona'. Interestingly, he spoke about community being an integral part of the building design. This is also one of our key concepts for Eco Warriors. The Solar Powered Panels that are have been designed for the City of Eden were inspired by a website created by Scott Brushaw. He is currently designing futuristic roads that will power whole cities. His idea is two-fold. It will provide newer, safer roadways and surfaces; and it will also power up whole cities in an eco-friendly way using our never ending power source - the Sun. This will be cleaner and more efficient. Below are pictures of these hexagonal solar road panels that are being developed.
The Signs and Public Communication group are busily making and putting up their street signs.
So, a little bit of Street View for Eden city! Trees, trees and more trees. Students working energetically to design their environment. The beaches are up and running and our creeks division have placed their innovative creation into 'Eden'. Well done National Parks and Wildlife. Keep going!
The students worked hard to create this amazing and very modern building. Through consultation with Parks and Wildlife, they generously donated the building to them. I like the aesthetic touch of the grass roof.
These two authorities have saved Eden City tax dollar money by both amalgamating, to create a combination of energy source and vital city transport links. Simply put; all roads are solar powered to create clean energy that will create up to three times the amount of energy that a normal city may need.
